Rhys has been a pivotal figure in establishing affordable DTH TV services across Africa over the past 13 years, leading start-up operations at GTV, AzamTV out of Dar es Salaam and KweséTV based in Johannesburg. He concentrates on commercialising start-up companies with a strong emphasis on sales and marketing excellence. Prior to moving into Media, Rhys held executive positions across Europe with renowned IT companies such as IBM and Groupe Bull, and also established his own international Go-To-Market advisory company with clients from the USA, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, South America and Africa. He is a prominent speaker at Media conferences across the globe. With offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and London, 2Gwana Media is focused on promoting the growth of locally relevant video and audio content across the continent, and making it available on a full range of platforms – DTH, DDT, FTA, OTT and mobile. It also offers a full portfolio of advisory and development programmes designed to hone the broadcast and commercial skills of emerging Media professionals in Africa.
