Fiona Murray | Neon (NZ) - Head of Streaming

Fiona is the Head of Entertainment Streaming for Neon and is responsible for the company’s digital entertainment business. She managed the merge of Lightbox and Neon streaming services and has achieved strong platform growth since this migration. With a passion for using data to help inform content discovery and curation, Fiona constantly finds ways to create connections and community within the digital audience. Fiona started her career in London at Chellomedia, then moved into an acquisitions role at BBC Worldwide, buying across multiple channels. Upon returning to New Zealand, she joined the new free-to-air start-up Choice TV in a hybrid position - working across the HGTV launch in the market and taking on the Acquisition & Programming Manager position, leading the programming team for both channels. In 2018 she moved into the streaming world and joined Lightbox as their Head of Content, setting the content strategy and leading the Content Discovery team before Sky acquired Lightbox. Fiona has demonstrated profound experience in programming, acquisition, and content across subscription, Free & Pay TV services and focuses on connecting customers with the content they want to watch through optimising discovery and increasing personalisation.
